Nicola De Rosa currently earns a PhD in Texts, Traditions and Cultures of the Book. Italian and Romance Studies at the Scuola Superiore Meridionale in Naples, where he works on a research project on the forms of the New World imagination in imperial cultural spaces between the 16th and 17th centuries. He was postgraduate scholar at the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies in Naples. He studied at the University of Naples Federico II and at the Conservatorio di Musica San Pietro a Majella in Naples, and spent a period abroad at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. At the Federico II, he graduated with a thesis on the political drama of the sovereign and kingship in early modern Europe. In addition to the mentioned research interests, he worked on 20th-century musical theatre and on the legacy of the «school of suspicion» in contemporary literary theory.
